*Anxiety, depression, general stress
*Chronic disease
*Concussion and traumatic brain injury
*Depleted immune system
*Body alignment
*TMJ
*Tinnitus
*Support through or recovery from cancer treatment,
*Hospice support
*Recently, BCST has been found to support those who have experienced symptoms of long Covid.
What does a session look like?
The first visit will usually run 30-40 min longer than the booked time. This leaves plenty of room for discussion about health history during intake and feedback during outtake. Subsequent visits will allow for 10-15 min total for discussion before and after being on the table. If you have time constraints please be sure to let me know before the session begins.
This is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that involves light touch and open communication around hand positioning and comfort level. The client remains fully clothed but is encouraged to wear light, comfortable clothing if possible. Hooded shirts, jeans, belts, and heavy jewelry often create restrictions to certain holds. Please refrain from wearing perfumes or other fragrances. Pillows, knee pillows, and blankets are available as needed.
After a verbal greeting and brief catch up at the beginning, I will often work quietly as I listen to the body with an occasional check-in about contact and comfort level. All nervous systems are different and every individual is encouraged to speak up if anything is uncomfortable or needs adjusting. Most individuals will lay on their back, but can lay side-lying, or even sit in a chair if necessary.
A Collaborative Choice
Respecting that the body holds a deep intelligence and knowing, my aim is to provide a safe space for individuals to access health and healing from within by finding stillness and connecting with self. As Michael Kern, D.O. stated, “All expressions of life emerge out of stillness.” Stillness and silence are the ground from which movement and transformation can arise. Living in a society that values speed and a “more is better” mentality, it is no surprise that our minds race uncontrollably and our nervous systems are overly stressed. When we invite in stillness we have access to the wellspring of health and healing that always resides at our core. I will work in collaboration with you, hear your story, and listen to the wisdom in your body’s unique design. Together we will make space for you to align with your highest healing potential.
“Each one of us is called to become that great song that comes out of the silence, and the more we let ourselves down into that great silence the more we become capable of singing that great song.”
-David Steindl-Rast
